Start with the host’s colour story
If a colour or aso-ebi fabric has been chosen for the event, treat it as your starting point. In a game, read the theme and requirements first. A beautiful outfit that misses the brief tells a different story from the one you were asked to style.
For the moodboard, try one main colour, one quieter supporting tone and a small metallic accent. This is a creative starting point, not a rule about what anyone must wear.
Choose a focal point
A sculptural sleeve, a neckline, a gele or an eye-catching fabric can carry the look. Give that detail room. If the neckline is already busy, try earrings before adding a necklace. If the silhouette is dramatic, a small bag can keep the balance.
Look at the full outfit rather than judging each piece alone. On the game’s muse, swap one item at a time so you can see what changes.
Make it personal, then edit
Add one choice that feels like your stylist’s signature: a colour contrast, a bold earring, a neat clutch. Then remove anything that distracts from it. For a real event, consider comfort and the host’s wishes alongside appearance.
