What Lagos Life is
Lagos Life is an online life-simulation game set in a virtual Lagos, played in the browser at lagoslife.app. It is often searched as “the Nigerian Sims” — a life sim about everyday Lagos: work, errands, fashion, businesses and status. It is not part of The Sims franchise.
In our signed-in 11 October 2026 session, the world included Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja on the map, in-world billboards carrying real paid ads, an elected Governor, a Forbes-style rich list, and systems for jobs, banking, hustles, investing, businesses, houses and cars.
Who is behind it
Lagos Life is operated by Vatar, which presents Lagos Life as one of its worlds. The creator's public account is Shalom Rayhamen, and the game's public account is @LagosLifeApp — the right first-party places for announcements and updates.
How many people play it
Player totals get quoted loosely and can count different things, so a dated observation is the honest measure: in our 11 October checks, the game showed roughly 42,000–52,000 players online at any moment — large for a browser life sim, and far below the multi-million figures shared on social. Treat any single number as a snapshot, not a census.
